After the first betting round,  3 cards are placed on the table.

To start with, the two players to the left of the button put forward forced bets called “blinds”. After 2 hole cards have been dealt to each player, the action starts with the player to the left of the big blind and continues clockwise. (Players may either call, raise, or fold.) After this first betting round, 3 cards are dealt onto the table (called the “flop”).

These cards(community cards) are for all players to use simultaneously to try and figure out the best poker hand.  Then you go to another betting round with an added community card followed by another betting round then the final community card. 7-Card Stud

Stud Poker was used to hold ground before Texas Hold’em popularity. Till now, Stud poker is one of the most common forms of poker amongst poker game players. It is much different from Texas and other variants of poker based on the fact that every player receives their hand.

Some of the cards in the player’s hand will be face-down and kept from players while other cards are left face-up for the rest of the players to see. The player with the lowest face-up card must act first by running a complete bet of the smaller increment of the game. The game goes clockwise and the players are dealt another face-up card.

Then, the player with the highest value of exposed cards is first to act. The player is expected to make a bet of the smaller increment if they choose to bet. The fifth street and sixth street both come afterwards with one card dealt per street.  The player with the highest combined value of exposed cards acts first. On the seventh street, the player gets a final card with the face down and they must take the best 5-card glad with the 7 cards they are dealt. Then the showdown is reached and the player with the best hand wins.
